PRE & POST SURGERY

Your body’s lymphatic system plays a crucial role in maintaining your overall health by managing blood circulation and fluid levels, removing waste and toxins, and promoting immunity and tissue regeneration. Before and after surgery, it is essential to support this system to ensure a smooth recovery process. Our specialized PowerDerm Lymphatic Drainage Massage is designed specifically for this purpose, helping to prevent and alleviate the accumulation of fluids in the surgical area, reducing swelling, and promoting faster healing.

The journey of wound healing and scar formation after surgery occurs in three distinct phases:

Inflammatory Phase: Immediately following surgery, blood clotting begins, and the incision site appears red and inflamed. This is the body's natural response as it starts to heal.

Proliferation Phase: During this phase, new tissue, primarily collagen fibers, begins to form, gradually closing and healing the wound.

Remodeling Phase: In this final stage, the body works to strengthen the new tissue, and a scar forms as the last step in the healing process.

Our pre and post-surgery treatments are tailored to support your body through these phases, ensuring optimal healing and minimizing discomfort. By enhancing lymphatic drainage and improving tissue regeneration, we help you achieve a smoother, quicker recovery with less visible scarring. Let us support you in your healing journey with our expert care.

A SMOOTHER, FASTER RECOVERY

Lymphatic Drainage of the Stomach

Lymphatic drainage of the stomach begins by gently stimulating the inguinal and axillary lymph nodes to prepare the body for effective fluid movement. The therapist uses light, rhythmic strokes to pump the lymph fluid from the stomach area, following its natural pathways. This involves a specific pumping and rinsing technique, where the fluid is methodically guided toward the inguinal nodes in the groin area and the axillary nodes in the underarm. The process is repeated to ensure thorough drainage, allowing the lymphatic system to effectively process and remove waste from the abdominal region.

Lymphatic Drainage of the Arms

Lymphatic drainage of the arms starts by gently stimulating the axillary lymph nodes located in the underarms. This activation prepares the lymphatic system for fluid movement. The therapist then applies a light, rhythmic pumping and rinsing technique along the arms, beginning close to the dumping site and gradually moving toward the axillary nodes. The strokes follow the natural lymphatic pathways, ensuring that lymph fluid is directed efficiently toward the underarm nodes. This process is repeated along the length of the arms to promote effective lymphatic drainage and fluid management.

Lymphatic Drainage of the Hips

Lymphatic drainage of the hips starts by gently stimulating the inguinal lymph nodes located in the groin area. This prepares the lymphatic system for effective fluid movement. The therapist then uses light, rhythmic strokes in a pumping and rinsing technique along the hip area, guiding the lymph fluid toward the inguinal nodes. The strokes follow the natural lymphatic pathways, ensuring that the fluid is efficiently directed from the hips to the groin. This process is repeated to promote thorough drainage and support the body's natural fluid regulation in the hip region.

Lymphatic Drainage of the  Breast & Decollete'

Lymphatic drainage of the breast and décolleté starts by gently stimulating the axillary lymph nodes located in the underarms to activate the lymphatic system. Using light, rhythmic strokes, the therapist applies a pumping and rinsing technique to the décolleté area, carefully directing the lymph fluid towards the axillary nodes. The strokes follow the natural pathways of the lymphatic vessels, ensuring that the fluid is effectively moved away from the chest and upper shoulder areas. The process is repeated to promote efficient drainage and prepare the lymphatic system for optimal fluid management.

Lymphatic Drainage of the Knees

Lymphatic drainage of the knees begins with the gentle stimulation of the popliteal lymph nodes located behind the knee. This step activates the lymphatic system, preparing it for fluid movement. The therapist then uses light, rhythmic strokes in a pumping and rinsing technique around the knee area, guiding the lymph fluid toward the popliteal nodes. The strokes follow the natural lymphatic pathways, ensuring that fluid is efficiently directed from the knee region. This process is repeated to promote thorough lymphatic drainage and maintain fluid balance in the lower body.

Lymphatic Drainage of the Buttocks

Lymphatic drainage of the buttocks begins with the gentle stimulation of the inguinal lymph nodes located in the groin area. This initial step activates the lymphatic system. The therapist then applies light, rhythmic strokes using a pumping and rinsing technique, guiding the lymph fluid from the buttocks toward the inguinal nodes. The strokes are directed along the natural lymphatic pathways, ensuring efficient movement of fluid from the buttock region to the groin. The process is repeated to ensure thorough lymphatic drainage, facilitating fluid balance in the lower body.
